Day Number Three - London Chronicles

The kids manage to do so much, I can't keep up!  This report is about YESTERDAY, which is already old news, because they have completed another marathon day today and now are packing happily, eager to get on the train tomorrow and come to their parents open arms!

The dawn found inspecting the London Tube on the way to the the Buckingham Palace (i exaggerate here, my kids NEVER rise before dawn )

where they joined the excited crowd to watch the change of the guard (the movie is available on Youtube channel here)

Later the same day they were spotted paying suspicious attention to the Mounted Police at the said Palace, after which they quickly retreated home

to taste a delicious Manya's home made tomato soup

Now, at this point I thought that they will take a break... BUT, the next sms I got was from the very fancy tea room,

waiting for their afternoon tea, celebrating the TRIP TO HAMLEY's! of which they did not mention anything at all.

And here is Maxime's modest tea tray

They felt sooo royal, so spoilt, so gourmand, and send their WARMEST THANKS to MERESY!

Here, THE FRESH SCONE, mmmmmmmmmmm!!

Later, when we, on this side of the Channel were cooking our humble dinner

trying to force papa to become a rabbit, and eat the veggies:

and finally compensating him with a little peace of a meat product:

(lamb in a oregano butter with broccoli and bulgur),

the kids in London were trying to recover from their tea and discussing the program for tomorrow: London Bridge, Toy Museum, Science Museum, Covent Garden, China Town - what will it be???

And then, after a certain struggle, they finally resolved to make some room in their bellies for a tiny portion of sushi! and off they went to a SUSHI BAR!

Now, after this final stop they could not even fit their DAILY DONUT in, so they had to keep it for tomorrow!

Isn't it a dream-like trip?
